About Our College
Our Government First Grade College is one of the noted educational institutions at Raibag. It is a small town located on the banks of the Krishna and the Ghataprabha rivers, these two rivers have played an important role in the shaping the life the people of this area. Raibag is known as “BAGI” which means garden. College was established in the year 2007 as a part of Govt. policy to reach higher education towards common man. It has been catering the diverse needs of higher education to the hundreds of students from socially and economically backward sections of the society. It has grown in leaps and bounds over the decade. It began with meager strength of 119 students in 2007. Now the College strength has reached to 614 students. It is affiliated to Rani Channamma University Belagavi. It has its own building and has four disciplines in Arts, Commerce, Science and Management.
College has very good academic record. It has 13 university Blues and some students have also brought honor by excelling in the field of sports and athletics. Our student Mr Annand Dabbagol has got rank in 2015 KAS batch. Now he is working as Commercial tax Officer in Bangalore. College has well setup Alumni Association. Our 12 Alumni’s have started their own companies. They have provided jobs to hundreds of unemployed persons.
